The program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to function as counselors in accordance with ethical and legal principles in a wide range of settings related to family, couples, and marriage. It prepares counseling professionals in cognitive, affective, and behavioral diagnosis, addressing disorders and mental and emotional areas in the context of marriage and family systems, using individual, group, or family therapeutic strategies.
