What is an LER?

Registered Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, receive progressive wage increases, and obtain employer-sponsored on-the-job learning and related classroom-based technical instruction. It's much easier for both employers and educators & training providers to validate your skills and accomplishments with evidence. Registered Apprenticeships are industry-vetted and approved and validated by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency.

Sync your professed abilities, competencies, knowledge and skills (PACKS) automatically with evidence Sync from provider and/or Self-Attest PACKS using our robust Occupation Skills Ontology under Add Skills. Start typing in the experience or use our browse feature.

Connect your military service records by uploading supported documents—such as your Joint Services Transcript, US Navy Electronic Training Jacket, or VMETs (Verification of Military Experience and Training)—to the DoD Military One Source. These records can be imported into your digital wallet as an LT1 credential and added to your LER (Learning and Employment Record) using the Add Credentials feature.

As Learning & Employment Records (LERs) continue to gain importance, you can upload or link your LER within Add Credentials and export your PLR (Personally Learner Record) or CLR (Comprehensive Learner Record) formats.

Once you have your credentials, you can share them as a current LER (learning and employment record) with potential employers and education and training providers.
