This course covers the study of deformation and flow of liquid and solid materials, particularly non-Newtonian materials, including muds, sludges, suspensions, polymers, etc. Properties such thixotrophy, rheopexy, and dilatancy will be studied. Materials that exhibit combination of elastic, viscous, and plastic behavior will also be studied.
