A survey of the standards, customs, and beliefs that exist among African cultures. Students in this class will learn about the extensive diversity of cultural beliefs and behaviors across the African continent, make connections between local/global historical events and contemporary contexts, and critically evaluate the factors influencing perceptions of African cultures.
