Essentials of Cultural Anthropology

Ethnography - the descriptive study of peoples - is the cornerstone of anthropological endeavor. This course explores the relationship between intensive examinations of small populations and broad interpretations of the human condition. Emphasis is placed on close analyses of ethnographies representing differing theoretical positions.
