This course examines how archaeology reveals aspects of globalization over the past 500 years that history alone cannot. Beginning with European arrival in the New World, students will explore how artifacts help archaeologists uncover insights about social relationships and cultural meanings in past communities, including Native Americans, African Americans, women, and children.
