The Art of Letterpress Printing and the Book

Letterpress and Printing and Book Arts will continue with advanced problems where Print-making Survey (ART 3801) ended. The utilization of moveable type (typesetting) will compare aesthetics, history and vocabulary with those of current computer-based typesetting. Letter press will explore fine letterpress printing and expressive typography while learning to operate the Vandercook SP20 Test Press.
