Marine Resources

This course examines the exploitation and fragility of the marine environment and the economic importance of marine resources. Topics to be examined include ocean ownership, overfishing, aquaculture, shark finning, whaling, ocean mining, marine transportation, tourism, pollution, harvesting energy from the ocean, and the importance of creating marine reserves.
