How do brains work? This course aims to provide an in-depth examination of quantitative, physical and chemical principles that govern nervous system function. Topics covered include electrical properties of cells, ionic homeostasis, action potential generation, synaptic transmission and the generation of stereotypic activity patterns in neural circuit and systems.
