Personal Finance and Investment

This course aims to provide all students with a basic understanding of tools and methods to assist in making personal financial decisions responsibly. Topics covered include: career planning (including college major and occupation choice), budgeting, overview of financial institutions/services, borrowing/lending (including home and auto purchases), tax considerations, insurance, investing (e.g. stocks/ bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, real estate investment), and savings and retirement planning.
