Intermediate Finance

Open to BBA majors or by permission of the department. Covers the five most important problems of modern finance at a level beyond BUS 241. These are: the relationship between risk and returns, as expressed in the Capital Asset Pricing Model and Arbitrage Pricing Theory; the valuation of debt and equity instruments; the cost of capital and optimal capital structure; capital budgeting; and dividend policy.
