General Biology I

An introductory course designed to fulfill the general education requirements of the College. Major topics discussed in the course include: the origin of life; the cell, its chemistry, morphology, and differentiation; basic physiology and anatomy of mammals; and basic physiology an anatomy of vascular plants. Three lecture hours and a two-hour laboratory per week Co-requisite: BY 101L.
