This course introduces students to the broader societal and global contexts in which architectural/civil/construction/environmental (ACCE) engineering infrastructure is planned, designed, and maintained. Emphasis is placed on effective communication—written, oral, and visual—within ACCE engineering practice and on citizenship, including awareness of U.S. and global cultural, political, and ethical issues that affect engineering decisions.
