Topics include shallow foundations (spread footings, mat foundations), deep foundations (driven piles, drilled shafts), lateral earth pressures, retaining structures, soil-structure interaction, and foundation analysis under static and dynamic loading. Emphasizes both subsurface investigation interpretation and structural design of foundation elements.
