Climate Change Impact and Adaptation in Civil Engineering

This course provides an introduction to global and regional climate change processes, drivers, and impacts. Case studies are presented for the regional impacts of climate change on extreme weather, water availability, and energy and transportation systems. Students are introduced to a variety of natural hazards and possible mitigation approaches as well as principles of design, including adaptable design and design for failure.
