Teaching for Linguistic Diversity

This course provides pre-service content-area teachers a foundation to address the needs of multilingual learners in their classes. The course includes fundamental knowledge about language and communication, language acquisition, differentiated instruction and assessment, and ESL program types for pre-service teachers to implement appropriate and effective strategies to support the academic success of English learners.
