History of Ancient Rome

This course surveys the history of Rome from its founding to its fall, beginning with the first settlements in what would later be the city center of Rome c.1000 BCE, and ending with the “collapse” of the Roman Empire in the West c.476 CE. It establishes parallels between the beginnings of Rome and its current existence today.
