Computer Architecture

This course provides instruction on the use of fundamental hardware components. Topics include arithmetic logic units (ALU), single and multiple cycle datapath and control, Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) vs. Complex Instruction Set Computer (CISC) , pipelining, caches, Input/Output, virtual memory and related performance issues.
