Aviation History

This course is an introduction to the history of aeronautics from its origins to the present day. It examines selected topics on flight from an international perspective with particular emphasis on events in the United State and stresses the history of flight within the broader context of culture, economics, politics, society, technology, and war through lecture, readings, writing assignments, and discussions.
