Advanced Early Child Development: Readiness for Learning

and Language Abilities. A study of the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor factors bearing on the young child’s readiness for learning and acquisition of language. The course includes methods of child study, such as instruction, and practice in using observational techniques and anecdotal records. It includes the design and evaluation of specific readiness activities and guided field experience.
