Professional Counseling Orientation and Technology

Required first semester. This course presents an overview of historical and contemporary developments in the practice of professional counseling. Information related to: (a) professional roles and responsibilities; (b) professional organizations; (c) state and national credentialing; and (d) counselor advocacy will be addressed.
