Methods in Teaching Language Arts in the Secondary School

This course is designed to prepare teacher candidates to use their knowledge of language to teach language arts at intermediate and secondary levels. It provides an in-depth study of various teaching methods and materials. Emphasis is placed on the implementation of specific learning activities, strategies, and techniques for teaching various courses in the language arts. Candidates develop and demonstrate lesson plans based on the Alabama Course of Study: Language Arts.
