Teaching Elementary Language Arts/Lit(P-6)

This course consists of procedures involved in the development of listening, speaking, and writing skills of children. Emphasis is placed on teaching the effective use of language in oral and written communication. Students analyze of materials and criteria guides for selecting appropriate materials for early childhood/elementary students. The course emphasizes creative use of language in connection with art, music, children's literature and other curricular areas.
