The goal of Step 1: Inquiry Approaches to Teaching is to have undergraduate students explore teaching mathematics or science in an upper-elementary setting. This 1-credit hour course provides students with an introduction to inquiry-based science and mathematics instruction through experiencing inquiry-based instruction as a learner, and implementing inquiry-based instruction in a real classroom setting.
