Survey of Energy Systems

This course reviews various sources of electric power including fossil fuel, renewable energy including solar, wind, wave, geothermal, and biomass and nuclear energy. Technologies for energy storage, transmission and distribution will also be included. Power plants, engines, radioactivity, and environmental impacts will be discussed. Cost of generation, distribution, energy consumption, and efficiency of various energy technologies are discussed.
