Advanced Studies in Numbers and Operations in Elementary Education

This course focuses on practical techniques and methods of guiding the learning experiences of the elementary student in mathematics. The course integrates mathematics content and pedagogy. Pedagogy integrated throughout the course emphasizes applying the Standards for Mathematical Practices as productive habits of mind. Additional emphasis placed on applying the Mathematical Teaching Practices as high-leverage practices for mathematics teachers.
