Academic Writing Level 4

Students will learn to write longer and more developed academic essays. Objectives: Students will complete 3 academic essays of at least 450 words in these genres: classification, cause/effect, and argument. Essays will include introduction, 3 or more body paragraphs, and conclusion paragraph. Students will follow the process of generating content, analyzing models, outlining, and writing 3 drafts with teacher, peer, and self-editing.
