Science Writing EXP, PWGE, W

This course will study a subgenre of nonfiction writing that seeks to communicate challenging, complex, and nuanced facts and ideas in clear, engaging prose. While learning to evaluate and synthesize the claims of scientists and intellectuals across various domains, students will produce data-rich essays and articles aimed at being accessible and enjoyable to a broad, lay public. Writing proficiency within this discipline is required for a passing grade in this course.
