Composition I

This course cultivates the intensive reading and analytical writing skills necessary for college-level work. Texts are drawn from across the disciplines to cultivate wide ranging vocabularies and varied analytical approaches. Students are placed into this course on the basis of the English Placement Questionnaire. A C- or above is required to pass the course; otherwise, an NC (no credit) is assigned and students must retake the class and receive a letter grade (A-F).
