Sociolinguistics

This course offers an in-depth view of the English language as it is applied globally of identity, nationalism, dialect, and language change. Texts will be discussed and language in general. Much of the reading is designed to introduce students to the pertains to the social sciences. No prior knowledge of linguistics is necessary.
