Sustainability and Public Health

Starting from a foundation of sustainability framed by the UN sustainable development goals, this course examines placed-based examples of successes and challenges in sustainability and public health. Students will critically evaluate the intersecting factors contributing to and scientific/ policy evidence underpinning socially, environmentally, and economically unsustainable elements of our local community, and how these situations impact human health and well-being.
