Writing and Reading for College

This course will integrate the reading and writing skills necessary for students to comprehend and interact with college-level texts and to produce original college-level writing. Reading skills will focus on processes for literal comprehension, critical comprehension, and the development of vocabulary. Writing skills will emphasize effective writing, which includes generating ideas, drafting, organizing, revising, and editing to produce competent essays in standard English.
