READING AND VOCABULARY 2

In this course, students continue to develop reading and vocabulary skills for personal, academic and professional 488 purposes. The course includes extensive practice in reading and comprehending multi-page articles on various academic topics. Focus is on interpretation of factual material, drawing inferences and conclusions, and summarizing selected passages. In addition, students read and respond to fiction, exploring character motivation and elements of plot.
