In this course, students will examine present housing needs, including topography and location, barrier-free design, basic construction and safety, architectural style, furnishing styles, types of housing, and the home-buying process. At the end of this course, students will collaborate to design a scaled floor plan using theories and practices discussed throughout the semester based on a client's needs, preferences, and preliminary budget.
