Introduction to Electronic (Digital) Forensics

This course provides an introduction into electronic (digital) forensics. The student will be familiarized with the basics of digital forensics, computer structure, storage structure, networks, mobile devices, social media platforms, etc. This course will cover the basic techniques to research and document scenes and evidence. Special emphasis will be placed upon security of questioned devices, chain of custody, and appropriate processing of evidence.
