Technology and France

This course offers an overview of the evolution of technological development in France. Students will explore the ways in which these changes have shaped the landscape and infrastructure of the country, as well as the changing attitudes of society regarding different technologies. The first half of the course focuses on France’s historical contributions to innovation, and the second half focuses on recent history and the dominant technologies of the present day.
