Techniques in Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry

This laboratory and project oriented class will provide a foundation in the practical aspects of mass spectrometry. Students will start with a broad overview of theory, then focus on preparation and analysis of samples. Students will work in groups led by graduate student mentors who will lead projects. Laboratory and projects differ each time that the class is taught. Therefore, this class may be repeated for credit. Sample preparation and data analysis differ each time the class is taught.
