Political Geography

A foundations course which looks at the basis of political territory, international law and boundaries-both on the land and on the sea. This course identifies basic geopolitical units and their geographical expression--including states, nation states and supranational territories--and identifies the rules that govern sovereignty, territorial definition and international interactions at the borders.
