Applied GIS

Applied GIS builds upon content from GEOG 216 and focuses on applied GIS projects using spatial analysis and modeling to address real-world issues. Students will learn to apply advanced GIS concepts and techniques through hands-on projects applicable to many disciplines. Emerging GIS technology including web-GIS, open-source software, python scripting, and applications of artificial intelligence in GIS will also be presented and discussed.
