Together, Latin America and the Caribbean form a region of tremendous environmental and cultural diversity. This course explores both the natural and human landscapes of the region through the lenses of physical geography and human geography. Topics include physical landforms, weather and climate, ecosystems, rivers and oceans, conservation issues, Indigenous and colonial cultural legacies, urban development, political conflict, and migration.
