Landscapes of the American South

Field-based course that explores the diverse geography and environmental history of the American South. Through several day trips from campus, students will visit some of the South's major geographic regions including: the Piedmont, Gulf Coastal Plain, plantation/agricultural south, and the Cumberland Plateau.
