INTRODUCTION TO MICROPALEONTOLOGY

LAB. 2. Pr. GEOL 3200 and (BIOL 1030 or BIOL 1037). A survey of major groups of fossils small enough to require a microscope for their study. Foraminifera, radiolaria, and ostracodes are emphasized; minor groups of interest include conodonts, diatoms, dinoflagellates, acritarchs, and chitinozoans. Includes laboratory, discussion sessions, and field work.
