German Culture and Civilization since 1832 PWGE, USGC

A survey of German cultural history from the 1830s to the present. This course is the second in a two-course sequence. Using a variety of media (e.g. online-readings, literary texts, audio and video clips), the course will introduce students to important developments, events, and people, as well as a different cultural products and practices in the German- speaking countries from the nineteenth century to the present day.
