Intermediate Greek I FL, HU, PWGE

This course familiarizes students with the syntactical peculiarities of Koine Greek, various New Testament authors, and the problems of transmission and restoration of the NT text. It emphasizes learning a sufficient amount of vocabulary to facilitate the development of communication skills. Furthermore, the course underscores the knowledge of the ancient Greek culture, where Koine Greek was spoken, through readings in Koine Greek from literary, cultural and historical texts of the time.
