Research Methods and Statistics

This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to research methods and applied statistics in family science. Topics include the basic elements of scientific thought, the stages in the quantitative research process, and statistical analysis. The development of cognitive skills in the areas of conceptualizing research ideas and measurable variables is emphasized.
