Family Law and Public Policy

This course provides an interdisciplinary exploration of family law and public policy, examining legislation and policies that impact families across the lifespan. Topics include marriage laws, family leave, divorce, family support, child custody, child protection, and economic support for children and families. Emphasis is placed on ethical considerations within the helping professions, particularly in the field of family studies.
