DEVELOPMENT OF INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

2.25 GPA. HDFS 2000 or HDFS 2003. This course will focus on the development of social competence and interpersonal relationships. We will cover models of socialization in the family, peer experiences and relationships from childhood through early adulthood, behaviors associated with social acceptance and rejection, emotional and social-cognitive underpinnings of social competence, and supportive communication through the lifespan.
