Play and Child Development

This course focuses on the therapeutic aspects and learning objectives of play in infants, children, youth, and young adults. This course explores the foundations and theories of play in the growth, development and learning of children. Medical play, play therapy, music therapy, and art therapy are incorporated into the course curriculum. The influence of play environments on children’s play is also explored.
