The Frontier in U.S. History

The histories, ideas, and myths associated with 'the frontier' from the colonial period to the 21st century. Consideration will be given to the frontier both as a geographic region and as an ideological construct through examining sources on Native Americans, gender, religion, technology, and entertainment.
