Histopathology

This course provides an introduction to histology laboratory operations and the professional responsibilities of the histo- logic technician. Emphasis is placed on changes in tissue asso- ciated with the various disease states and the use of selected special stains and techniques in identifying disease processes. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the special stains and other assays to the disease and help identify the stain under the microscope.
